Newbie heading down the rabbit hole!

Hi All, As a long time gin drinker I have always wanted to distil my own.....never had enough time, but early retirement last week brings me that in abundance and I'm excited to embark on this adventure. I plan to produce a London Dry Gin, which is my favourite style, and also at a decent ABV as I prefer gins that are 45% and upwards. I've been on a couple of gin making experiences and have been doing some reading on various aspects of the process, but this site looks to be an incredible resource to ask much more experienced makers. I'm absolutely sure there are rookie mistakes to make and I'm certain I'll be making them, but hopefully with some help, not too many!
