My distilling story starts back in university making rocket fuel for myself and flatmates out of the T500 in a kitchen, I have grown up a bit since then (maybe...). After graduating I knew the office life was not for me so I worked as a bartender and got the chance to assist the brewmaster in a small local brewery doing 10ish bbl batches.
After leaving to spend a ski season working in Japan I was not only able to surround myself with amazing spirits but was able to tour all the mainstays Nikka, Yamazaki etc. cementing my love once again for craft spirits, chasing flavour this time around.
Since returning home I enrolled in the cibd general certificate and absolutely loving it, who would have thought there was so much going on when you lift up the curtains.
I look forward to learning more from you all and maybe along the way make my own spirits taste a little less like 91 octane.
