Wild Guess.. Coffee Maker

Hi, having never used a still before and nto being able to afford one at the moment I was thinking about it the other day and please correct me if I am wrong but isn't s coffe machine such as
http://www.everythinghome.com/smdc.html ... kw=DCM2000

pretty much the same concept? and if so could you use one of these coffee makers as a still?

I use a pot still.Sometimes with a thumper

Not even close.
there is a out of the box electric appliance that will distill alcohol that gets raves on the yahoo forum... I think we're a little too into craft distilling here to talk about it much.
Drawback is that it is low volume and expensive new.
if you can get one cheap used it might suit your purposes.

coffee makers lose a lot of vapor, so not a good idea
