raketemensch wrote:Maybe you could build in a refractometer, where the distillate passes over a slide, and there's an ocular piece (with a small led light?) that you can look through. No smearing!
Just daydreaming, but you've built so many of our daydreams into this thing already that it seemed appropriate.
Please explain, Raketemensch. Not sure I understand.
As for the parrot ... it only measures Hearts. Fores, Heads, and Tails go ou via different (automated) valves, so there is no contamination.
Devon ... yes you do!

Currently back in the hotel in Wyckoff, NJ. Tired after having given a 3 day course on distilling. We made whiskey, vodka and gin. Great group of people together. Very dedicated. And I am happy and proud that they absolutely loved my workshop! Here are a few pics!

And something new we give to our clients: Catalyst Cleaning System. After a run, you take out the catalyst with copper packing. With the new cleaning system, you can easily put the copper under 45% alcohol to prevent oxidation ... or you can rid the copper of oxidation by adding a cleaning agent!
We have it for the 50, 250, 500, 1250 and 2000 liter rigs! With wingnuts or with easy clamps.
Regards, Odin.

Here are a few pictures of the basic distillation workshop we gave for some 10 distillers a little over a week ago in Amsterdam. We'll do another two courses next week.

Yeah that's a very appropriate term.
I can't wait to go to this. Just a few photos and it already looks really good. Is that last photo a Dunder pit?

Nice monitor for your slide show there Odin! Shot glasses for everyone with a bottle of Dutch Legacy provided? Who wouldn't enjoy a seminar like that? Don't think I would put a dunder pit inside the new facility though!

Seminar was great. And so was the tasting afterwards! The day after tomorow a new group of 10 trainees will visit us. Looking forward to it, GA!
I am currently doing a vodka run with the iStill 50. Our 50 liter, 2 inch diameter system. Running some 22% low wines and getting over > 4.5 liters at 96.5% per hour. Very happy with the last design updates I made!

Busy week over here! Designing a complete new range of products with some very interesting features. And shipping complete distilleries to Utah as well as New York State, this week. 40 and 20 feet containers. Here's a picture of the line-up of our mashers, fermenters, iStills One's, i250's, i500's and pumps ...

Nice work Odin! As always you are an inspiration! If I can convince the pay-check gods to be a little less tight handed, I plan to make it over and meet Swedish Pride, I will have to make the short skip to meet up with you!

Introducing a new family of mashers, fermenters and stills. At 500 and 2000 liter capacity, so really for the Craft Distiller. With some pretty interesting design features on agitation, heating, cooling and process integration.
