Everything I make gets a blue painters tape label. There is only one bottle I have put a "label" on.
We have a liquor cabinet in the lodge fellowship room where we hang around before and after lodge to play pool. I have a bottle in there with a masonic square and compass, labeled "House bottle, Do not discard"
It just showed up. Nobody knows who brought it or refills it, but there are only 9 of us with keys to that room, and most of the members brew beer, so it could be anyone. Who knows?
I've come to the point at home that my bottles on the bar are just repurposed whiskey bottles that I've consumed and refilled. nobody would ever give them a 2nd look, but I know what's in each of them.

I've been getting ready to bottle apple brandy and cider and this year decided they need special labels so have been working on them.
Here are the results so far

I send the files to an office supply store and have them printed. I think it actually works out cheaper and I get better paper.

Thank you.
I haven't made any labels in quite some time and am planning on sending some special bottles to someone and want the labels to be as special as the bottles so decided to make some. It took a long time and a lot of work to get the templates done but once I arrived on a design I really like and got the templates made it's now easy and fairly quick to make changes.
Was thinking of this for next year
Although I was thinking I might make that the 2021 since that is a my actual barrel and an actual basket of apples that is currently in my garage.

I think I should look into that. We have a chain here and I imagine getting it on adhesive labels should be easy for them.
Thanks for the tip.

My limoncello and citrus heavy gin labels were a bit more basic than the above!
They lost a bit of colour in printing, I might go for a more professional look next time.

Where did you find the ceiling wax Coog ?

I bought it from a shop I think it was in Victoria, grapeworks.com.au it wasn't cheap!
I got the blue and a purple.
You have to heat it like chocolate, in a pan over boiling water, it is temperature sensitive and slow to melt that way. I use a heat gun from above to speed up the process.

I have some 35 year old port with wax on that has now gone hard and dry.
The way to get it off is to crush it with the adjustable, rounded face pliers we call multigrips!

Not a normal situation around here, but I’m sort of at a loss for words, Cranky! These bottles (2!) are so legit, I love your label, and the back label shoutout to the S3 crew is perfect. And of course, the monkey shoulder bottles just kick it all up a notch.
I’m a bit off my feed right now, but I’ll get to tasting them as soon as I’m feeling better. I’ll post up my impressions in your Fruity Goodness thread.
Thank you for sharing the labor of your fruits, it is a real privilege to taste 2 apple brandy vintages, made by a member here on the forum.
As soon as my scotch is ready to go into the barrel I’ll be pulling my first attempt at apples that’s been sitting in that barrel for 2 years. I’m afraid my packaging won’t compare though.

And MCH, I hope you feel better soon.
I forgot to take pictures of the bottles before I sent them to MCH

Thank you for posting that.
They are a rare find in my bottle dumpster but Monkey Shoulder bottles are my absolute favorite bottles of all time. I will crawl across broken glass to retrieve one out of the dumpster...and have

When I first found one and saw those 3 brass monkeys I knew it was getting an S3 label and going to MCH. If I find another I might try to send one up to the Great White North because I think I still owe you one.
