My biggest gripe is the cost, but I still use propane with great success. I had to fill up 2 propane tanks yesterday to the tune of 50 bucks, plus the gas driving to go fill them up. Had I just went electric at first it would have paid for itself more than once. The way I figure its less than 1/4 the operating cost. Round here electricity is 8 cents per kilowatt hour, which is pretty darned good.

$50? Are they big tanks or are you using Blue Rhino? My 20# fills for under $15.

7 gallon tanks. If I drove almost 2 hours to Spokane, I could have filled them for $20 each. But I dislike the city and driving.
Propane is expensive in the boondocks. (Looneyville we call it)
