Fun fact - the drummer in both of the foregoing videos is a guy named Go-Go Ray.

Classic chops and she definitely workin' the dream. Reminds me of a young Susan Tedeschi.

I only found out the other day that Tom Petty died of a fentanyl overdose in 2017. I didn't even know what fentanyl was in 2017. One of of my kids friends was working in Pittsburgh PA in 2017 and ODed on fentanyl the day before Mothers day. I was on it from the end of 2020 through most of 2021 after major surgery that didn't go well. I hate the drug, I had night mares the whole time I was on it. That Tom Petty died from it just brakes my heart, what a terrible loss of such a talent.

There is a German group that takes it's name from Alexandre Dumas's novel "The Three Musketeers"
They call themselves " d'Artagnan" they have a song that could be the anthem for HD forums..."Was wollen wir trinken" in English..."What do we want to drink"

If you look at them on stage their microphones are on stands that are shaped like a rapier, a common sword in the 16th an 17th centuries when The Musketeers were supposed to have taken place in Dumas's novel.

Thanks for that Vlaga, they are one of my favorites. Their lead really gets into it, really feels it.

Well the percussionist has rhythm too...

Quote:
“In Slavic mythology, we know Baba Yaga as a wild, unpredictable, often dangerous female figure. And that's exactly what the band Baba Yaga sounds like: spirited Balkan tunes mix with virtuoso klezmer pieces, lively gypsy jazz and sensual, oriental dances. The five young musicians from Austria, Montenegro & Israel will heat you up with violin, double bass, accordion, guitar, vocals and percussion and make you dance, celebrate and go to ecstasy”.

That must have played on the radio every second day when I was growing up. Love it. 2024 has been a big year for country. This is a slowly but a goody.

I can’t sing, but I sing.

Commence advancin', commence advancin',
Just Start a prancin', right and left a-glancin',
A moochee dancin', slide and glide entrancin'.
You do the tango jiggle,
With a Texas Tommy wiggle.
Take your partner, and you hold her,
Lightly enfold her, a little bolder.
Just work your shoulder,
Snap your fingers one and all, in the hall,
At the ball, that's all, some ball.

I was like 20 years old headbanger when I played this track to my younger 17-ish cousin. He said he could only listen to it if he was extremely upset with the entire world. For me, it's nothing more than a calm peaceful tune. Man, we're all so different in terms of our emotional reactions. Well, mine is unchanged. I wonder how he will react now?
