Those I the US that can't find the right size thing or lengths, order off Menard's website. Free shipping to store. Just takes a week or so.

Just received my parts for this today...only prob that i will run into looks like the reducing tee will have to be filed down inside to allow the 1/2" pipe to pass through?

yea theres a little lip inside that stops it it is a quick removal

As stated by jholmz, there is a little lip of copper inside that has to be filed out.
Use a round file (rats tail or bastard file) to do this, its not a big deal, a couple of minutes and the pipe will slide though cleanly...

What do i use for the paper gasket on pot lid?

Thanks! I got it all put together, but turns out my pot lid is too flimsy to support the wait...sucks!

Thanks for all the great info HD. Thanks Samohon, I built this and made my own gasket, got 5 runs of UJSSM done and gonna start a Sweet Feed ferment tomorrow.

Great to see new members in the hobby build their first stills and get some product... Thats what HD is about, well done guy's. :clap:

@cornyray: Take a photo or 2 and post it up so that we can maybe help with some strengthening ideas. You may be able to shorten the riser a bit and add a brace to counteract the weight of the Liebig when it is full of water. Get a photo or a diagram posted so we can see what the problem is... Dont despair cornyray, most things are doable in this hobby... :thumbup:

K I'll try and get some pics up. Wish i could find a ss bowl with same diameter as my pot...that would prob strengthen it
