syphon cooling?

Dont run a still in the woods unless you have too and you are capable.Its a pain in the butt if you dont know exactly what your doing and your going to get dirty and not have fun.And dont bother with trying to figure out some elaborate setup to get water flowing to your condensor with siphon action alone.It DOESNT WORK.Been there done that.The one exception of course is if the topography is in your favor.(the source of water is higher than your location).But,a small electric pump works well.You can get pumps that run on batteries and if you shop around you can get solar powered pumps.Or the old way that leaves no hoses or pumps to be found.....the lowly bucket.

I do use a bucket now, but i redirected the creek to flow through a rain gutter and keep a constant flow of cold water. Too bad theres no water to be found now

Funny you say that.My experience was very similar.There was plenty of water flowing during the winter and spring,but once summer hit.....there was only a few puddles and some mud.Of course it was also a pretty small creek.

The creek seems to be going into a underground spring ? because at one point it just totally stops and run into the mountain?
