My first run with my air still did not go too well…now I am perfectly OK with this because I consider it a learning experience. I’ve done a lot of reading on this site but can’t seem to find an answer. My question is with my AirPot, do I still need to discard the first few ounces?

You can't have done to much reading, not only do you need to discard a fores cut, you also need to make other cuts , heads , hearts and tails.
