Man, your going to be in trouble if the wife see's this thread.
You do need control over the deflag, but the condensor just needs on/off control.
Its worth looking at the 3 way valve set ups.
Looking good, Midlife.

Thanks guys
remade my deflag today. tubes are flush with the top, and angled at the bottom to direct the flow back towards center, hopefully.
Also soldered in the 4" sanitary ferrule. What a Pain in the butt that is!

They do make some fine alcohol. I have to upgrade my elements though to run it better. I have 2-1500 watt elements on a 33 gallon boiler and it will run it but just barely. I have a 5500 watt element here but just need to hook up my controller first.
for now though stripping runs on the potstil get it done...at least to accumulate some low wines

any final notes on this one? i was looking at the sight glass and was looking at the same part: Cello WDSJ-32 2-inch Copper DWV Sweat Trap Adapter... the picture looks like solid brass but in yours i see copper on the vapor contact side... that is good to see ...i may gamble on it then...
i need closure on this build though UGH!
