I have a few concerns. I think you have an excellent still overall, however, once the packing in the basket comes to stilling temp you won't have any reflux at all. Also, going from 4" to 3/8" vapor path is going to cause some serious vapor speed changes. I won't go into the plexi other than to say 200° ethanol vapor is much more volatile than 200° water. If it were me, I would add a short extension to the column, throw in a as corrugated coil and run it as a ccvm. I would also reroute the vapor so that it stays in the 4" sections and run coolant through the 3/8" coil. Thats just me though.
No, officer, I wasn't distilling alcohol! It was probably that guy!

This is an old thread no reason to bring anything up to the distiller as he has not been here in almost a year... just take notes and get your brain going or not going from what you see posted...
