Well, screw the moonshiners show part, but about wood in a boiler. Pusser's Rum has been distilling in wood sided boilers for quite some time. I would like to know the details of maintinence on the pots they use but it is pretty cool. They even tell you on the website that it is not a very efficient design but they swear that it is part of their flavor profile. Have to admit it is a unique tasting rum. They aren't submarine pots though, I just found it interesting as this thread is way off topic anyway. :ewink:
