I came into around 150 pounds of apple pommace this last weekend. I was curious what the consensus of the masters on the board was.
I run a full keg pot still, propane burner, to answer that question.
I was thinking of putting 30 pounds in 12 gallon of HOT water and steep. I would then take a SG and adjust with inverted sugar. I would target a SG of 1.09.
I will collect all and probably make a spirit run at the end. I will save some of the mash to dilute down for the spirit run.
What have I missed?
