Rad, I will have a parrot with a fores valve. I'm not sure what you mean about synthetic seals...I will use ptfe for the cap and where the boka unit sits on the column until I can afford to make the necessary changes to have proper seals...I had planned on taking off the liebig to collect the fores and then put it on for the "good stuff"...is that not a good thing to do?

I know I needed a drip ring below the take-off valve to make sure the reflux goes back through the center of the packing, so I built one myself. Here is a picture of it and just for references sake it is sitting in the top of my pot still to show how it will fit in my boka once I get it in...
