Anyone use a 1500 Watt element for keg still?

If it plugs in, post it here.

The ferrule you want has an OD of 51mm/2 inches like this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00835O0J6/ref=biss_dp_t_asn" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Check w/ your controller order, larry might be able to add to your order. + element guard + gasket + clamp. Save you some shipping. They carry all the stuff you need, prices are decent.

I already four a ferrule ss sanitary in ebay from china, and i think the kit comes with the clamp

IIRC, it comes with one clamp, which holds the cap to part where you attach your element. You need another clamp to secure the whole rig to your boiler.
Easiest way to avoid being on a TTB list is to not purchase a boiler, full column, or condensor from a retailer. Build your own.

It's fine. I think it's more expensive than 304 due to added corrosion resistance properties. But AFAIK, you can use either safely

Good to know, everything is ordered aside from my element. So I think I am set. I'll post the build along with the keg build when I Finnish making it electric. Hopefully it helps someone out because even with all the material to read it hard to figure out the entire project.. What type of insulation you use for over keg?

I used that Reflectix insulation material from the big box store. Its an aluminum foil with encapsulated air pockets. Great "R" value, though not inexpensive. Its easy to cut with a scissors and can be taped with HVAC aluminum foil tape. It makes a good looking boiler and improves its efficiency.
