I still haven't blended the peach yet . I threw out 500 mls off a 30 liter mash and collected 3 liters but the heads is we're all the peach flavour is .. In jar 1 and 2 is we're all the peach flavour is . I use 14 pound I canned peaches and 4 kgs sugar what's everyone's opinion should I use jars 1 all the way to the tails ?

If you threw out half a liter you mightbe ok to use Jar 1 onward. Use your taste buds. You can tell when the flavor shifts from aldehyde solventy to fruity. Use good judgement. Fruit is tricky, you dont want to throw out the fruit flavor.

Do you drink beer? Or wine? There's worse stuff in them then there is in your shine.

Crap. Now I'm going to have to get into the rum supply.

*edit* I made a rum/coke/lime juice from the first rum run that I made a month and a half ago and it was darned good. Thanks, Jimbo! Image

A good all grain Bourbon recipe aged 6 months or more. When white I drink it with a mixer most times. When speed aged ( speed oaked) I drink it straight or a mixer. I'm to old to just waste good stuff by not tasting it just to get drunk. I consider getting tipsy a happy byproduct.

Hi everyone I looked all over the site to answer my question but I couldent find it nowhere
I have a 50 liter keg boiler with a triclamp going to about 4 feet of coper pipe and a reducer and a 90 going into a 20 foot coil
I have ran probly 10 runs in my sill last year and they were mostly all rum and a few ujssm
So I rinsed my still well and dried it off scence December or has been in the corner of my room well the head has anyways the coil was in my shed
So I figured I'd clean it real good for the season . I have done a 50-50 vinager to water and a 20 min steam run just water after I well rinsed and today I put two gallons a feints threw it

Took the head up to my house and I put my finger in the top of the head at this dark substanse is on my finger and I realised it's threw the hole head .
I have never had a puke nor does any mash or bubbles get this high

This is like 4 feet of copper and it probly in the worm to I don't no
Could this be somthing from my rums making everything dark ? Is it bad can I leave it or do I have to get a new worm ?
Did anyone have this problem before ?

Rum oils crapping up yard still, not a really big deal. Run a sugar wash through it if it bugs you

This job may require some ArmStrong Elbow Grease. That usually will cut right through it.

Dan, I been thinkin about your problem. If you had an electricians fish tape you might be able to drag a few rags through the worm. BUT you might not be able to do that if they fit too tight. If they dont fit tight enough than you wont remove much of the gunk. Kind of a catch 22......
I am thankful now that I ended up going with a Liebig.

I wouldn't, as I said I don't think it's a big deal but if you think it is run a clean sugar wash. Run it til you start to hit tails and stop, all the oils are in the tails . Don't try jamming anything in the worm

Ranger I dont have running water as my shed is a probly 100 feet from the running water and a hose would be loot
I have a pack of turbo yeast I bought when I first started the hobbie and I will probly get that out so I can get another wash threw it before the rum is ready

plug the end fill it with vinegar wait til tomorrow morning, rinse out. there will be nothing but copper in there.

run lots of water, cause there will be some powdered copper in there stuck to the walls. maybe a nice steam and a sac run to season it again.
I finally quit drinking for good.

now i drink for evil.
