Little or nothing to do with distillation.

One thing I really like is that it keeps my "unread" posts more accurately. I log in from home and work and sometimes the old forums would mark all the unread messages as read for me. This version of the forums does a much better job.

I couldn't stands it any longer! I have reverted back (or at least an emulation of) subsilver2. The simple joys, the emulation is kinda like a 1/2 upgrade......I can handle small changes! :D

A very nice new feature, is that when you reply to a PM, the reply gets put into the original message, and it is now like a thread.

That is NICE, tracking down what you replied back when someone posted you information, or asked a private question.

I like the new look too.. seems a lot faster.. I dunno (I'm still on dial-up, so fast is a relative term)

It's clean, too. (I'm kinda back to lurk after UJ sent me a mail, but glad he did, cuz I've missed you all)

Just my 2¢

Pretty sure it is slower, due to more eye candy in the 3.0 view. In the HTML world, "pretty" is VERY expensive in bandwidth.

Note, the better your browser caches, the less speed impact you will see.
