In this 5L boiler? This has a copper bottom.

Thanks. I'd been specifically looking for a little boiler with a triclamp top that would work on my induction burner, but if it's solid copper it wouldn't. It looks like a nice little thing.

Couldn't you use a Induction Hob Plate Heat Diffuser with it?

Maybe, depending on how well flat the bottom is to make good thermal contact with the plate.

For that size still, just stick it in a pot of water. :)

The bottom is flat, I guess, yes you could use it on the induction burner with heat diffuser.
It's a sweet little thing.

I really like how little it is. I have a 1L glass boiling flask that I use to make very small gin batches, but I can only really make 450ml or so of product at a time. This size would be perfect to make one 750ml bottle.

1 Gallon SS pot, gasket (2 red bricks to hold lid down on gasket) and some 3/8 copper tubing (worm) will make a nice small gin still pretty cheap. :)
