Modular steam generator

Post by Jack C »

Well I have started getting the parts for a steam generator build. It will be all tri clamp components. The main chamber is a 4 inch spool 24 inches long. Each end will have a 2X4 bowl adapter. The element is a 2inch tri clamp 6500 watt element. It will have a 3 inch site glass that we’ll have a dual float sensor. This should allow visible confirmation of water fill and the dual float will be a safety circuit for the element and operate the fill valve. I have the solenoid and pressure reducer as well as needle valve for the make up water feed. I need to weld a 3/4 tri clamp fitting to each of the bowl reducers for piping to the site glass. This will allow me to connect top and bottom of site glass and steam chamber as well as drains and fills. The top two inch connection will be the steam supply and will be connected to a copy of yummys manometer as well as low pressure gauge. I have a couple pics of the parts I will post. The build will be slow as I have gotten sent out of town for some emergency hospital work. I am not in the medical field but in construction.
