It’s very sad when the founders of some Home distilling methods pass away…
I’m pretty sure the person that invented the flute or bubbler was a Home distiller??

Well, that would have been old dog.
He didn't invent a plated column. What he did was scale an industrial apparatus down to the hobbyist.
Then named his build the Magic Flute based on its resemblance to a Flute.
Goose on the otherhand was far more a purist that seemingly had not much interest in utilizing a more modern apparatus beyond the enjoyment of the read.
Though I am 100% certain goose would issue an admonished response to my interpretation of what he would do / say.
My observation is that goose didn't really appreciate anyone speaking on his behalf. Even when they were defending his point of view. He was no doubt his own man is the the way I see it.
