Yeah Jimbo i bought it since i just read about it in a pamphlet Heaven Hill sent me and wanted to try it. It was $19 for a 750mL and had a $10 rebate with it, and since my fiancee is queen of coupons and such she took care of that part for me. What a girl :D Glad you're enjoying the trip Jimbo. They dont, but Jimbo's box-o-stash hauled out here does, along with a few other tasty treats :)

Some home made IPA after carrying out a spirit run. Will have a finger of Birdwatchers later on for bed time!

Just visited an old timer. Good friend of mine for like 10 years now. I always make him a special "borrel". A 33% vodka. Just how he likes it. Sweet, smooth, not too strong. Went over to bring him 5 liters to help him through the holiday season. And since the weather is great right now, we sat outside, in the garden, and helped ourselves to a few "borrels". Very smooth indeed!

Regards, Odin.

Rum and cokes mmmmmmm rum and cokes from my spiced and my silver stash. Just packed 1.5 gallons of feints away and I'm aging another 3 jars of hearts at 125 proof. Next week another wash will get going.

Snifter half loaded with apple brandy after an all day float down the Jefferson river in Montana. Ate shit on some rapids, blew 2 tubes back all carved up on some rocks. Battle wounds.

I used to be a river guide, and have ate some s**t in my day. Flipped boats, yard sales, dump trucks, you name it! Just remember... There are no bad paddle crews, only bad paddle captains. LOL. All joking aside, glad no one is seriously hurt.

The good old dark and stormy.

2 ounces of dark rum like a Myers's Rum Original Dark
Top off with a Ginger Beer. I'm drinking Goslings.

Just switched to the Moscow Mule. While I don't have a cooper cup I do have a Dicky's BBQ yellow cup that works just as we'll.

2 ounces Vodka
2 ounces Lime Juice
Top off with Ginger Beer

Gonna sleep well tonight.

Just poured a small 1/3 full snifter of my grapple brandy as a reward for getting a bunch of chores done on my day off. Only reason its such a small glass is cause I'm gonna get going stripping about 6 gals of a banana lite rum wash. And finally get my ass in gear building my vm/lm combo since i finally have everything i need for the build. I'm hoping to get it done by tomorrow evening doing some today and some tomorrow. Will start with a 36" long 2" lava rock packed column with my 1" vm branch and lm head over that with the option to add another 20" or so for packing if necessary for azeotrope(which I'm hoping isn't too hard to hit after learning to drive the rig) I suppose i should start a thread with some pics for criticisms and feedback so watch for it if you're interested.

Sipping a hard apple cider enjoying the beautiful midwest nite. About to crack open a bottle of Eagle Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey which I've never tried before but the guy at the liquor store said its like a sweeter, more full bodied Maker's Mark. I will soon find out...

Ive heard heard the Eagle Rare IS really good... IIRC(If I Remember Correctly), it is distlled by Buffalo Trace. Yuengling and Bulleit bourbon here. The Bulleit bourbon has a little burn going down, but finishes smooth. Not too bad, for $24.00(usd). I'd still pick Turkey 101, over the Bulleit.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been wanting to try bulleit but maybe i will wait on that. The Eagle Rare is great oaky and sweet, with a lot of substance to it, you definitely know you're drinking an American whiskey. A steal for $29 for a 750ml (and even got $5 off it) washing it down with an Oberon ale, my goto summer beer. I do love Buffalo Trace and have never been disappointed by anything I've had from their distillery. Def my favorite commercial distillery.

Enjoying a damn fine apple pie from our own Midwest Shinner while mixing up a batch of Cherry Pantydropper. Mike's apple pie is the perfect mix of kick, sweetness, apples and spice. Really nice.

This cherry pantydropper is cherries macerated in bourbon gumballhead (sugarhead), more cherries in Sugardaddy's Panela rum, and some apple juice for a little extra sweetness. No sugar. Its really nice. 40% Gumballhead, 40% rum, 20% apple juice.

Thanks Jim you're too kind, next batch of apple pie i am gonna add just a touch less nutmeg, but i really think the rest of the recipe is spot on. I'm just sipping some hard apple cider and waiting for my fiancee. Today is my Friday and all i have to say is TGIFF. I've got some banana rum to do a spirit run on in the next 2 days and some building to complete as well. Lets hope i get it done

Nice Bushman, ill bet it is. Can you describe it for us? How does it compare to say Bombay Saffire? I'm sure its much more flavorful but i don't drink much gin so thays the only thing i could think to compare it to. I'm currently drinking an Oberon ale with 2 fingers of Woodford Reserve on the side. Damn fine sipping i must say.

Haven't had a lot of gin, but it's better than anything I've had. My wife loves gin an she thought it was excellent.

Gin is a great bed time drink, IMHO. I enjoy a tuck or 2 before bed now and again. It is truly relaxing.
