Don't go teasing me, it would cost $10k to for a round trip visit. That would make me worst than Odin.

My name is Patch and I am an HD addict.

It started off slow, just a quick browse every now and then with friends.

Now I am up at 3am with work deadlines looming and every time I open Microsoft Word, all I can think about is HD.

I didn't think I was an addict until my wife said something. The funny thing... I don't want to quit.

Hey guys its been awhile.now I'm starting to combine hobbies! I was cleaning my muzzleloader earlier today and ran out of power solvent. Fores to the rescue! I think they work better in all the lil nooks and flash hole orifice. Try it out. *** do not get on a rifle stock*** or spill on Coffee table either. The stain and clearcoat on table didn't make it... Ya gots to prioritize!
rifle stock was never in danger. Funny thing, with a big area of missing stain making it easier, that my coffee table looks like its made of oak!

I managed to spill some on the protective glass top of my antique buffet and it seeped under the glass. Took me hours to fix the finish. I have learned that Minwax polyurethane clear coat is alcohol resistant. I used it on the base on my parrot and in spite of having frequent spillage of high proof alcohol it has never shown any signs of it.

So about every Sunday a friend and I make an AG mash and do a spirit or strip run, my SOH says I spend too much time in the shed, I don't know what to do, I have to build up aging stock and Sunday is runday. if she was a drinker this would be easier. I don't know if i can cut back to twice a month.

Would I have a problem if I started more ferments instead of building a heated ferment cabinet. I don't care if a ferment takes longer I just hate giving the power company my money that could go to running the still. I have enuf fermenters to make a one month ferment and still run every week. I believe it is a perfectly normal solution to a weather related problem.

I am pretty sure you can get a subsidy (which every other homedistiller and I pay for) to put in a solar or for that matter a wind generator.
If you choose this option please let us know so we can feel just 0.0001% better about our tax money going to a decent cause, Likewise if I can pull one of these boondoogles down I will let you know.. God knows it beats crowdsourcing to fulfill my lack.... Screw the power company... especially if they cant use coal!!!

Carry On

Hy alcoholometer is broken and I just keep staring at my still waiting for the new one to arrive (tomorrow!). It's like staring through the window of a liquor store that isn't open for another 24 hours.

Don't let that slow you down.run that still. Catch in small jars.(pintmax)proof after airing 24-48 hours...or once your alcometer shows up.drink a beer. Keep in mind if you order two alcometers neither one would commit suicide outta loneliness.
See all problems solved when you come to group.
Now prop your feet up and hit this bottle of 3gen corn and oats ujssm.shes only a month old but the cuts are tighter than dicks hatband just for drinking white.
Anyone else want a sip, come on....

I wish it were that simple but my still ain't running as it should and the alc meter is playing a key role in diagnosing the problem. Fear not. I have a new one!!!

Thanks for the support though. Sometimes the kind words from a sponsor can be the difference between a hard night and a breakdown
