My Triac based Electric Controller build is finished (almost!).

My thanks to RAD and Parmulli and dozens of others who contributed to the Electric Controller thread. I hope to run my first power-on test tomorrow. I picked up some test leads , as suggested, and will check the voltages at several locations.

-240v 5500w CAMCO ultra low density heater element

Outside view: (old pot knob doesn't fit this shaft so new one is ordered)

No fan in this build so I'll have to monitor the heatsink temp closely. I have a 12v fan and salvaged 12v wall wart should I need to add it in.

Much simpler build using an open box instead of the ammo can and using terminating strips to control the 10 gauge wires.
