if they are kids, they MIGHT be back, but what you gotta watch out for is the friends that they tell.. a long break is probabally needed. after that a good dog will serve as protection ,and double as a good friend. if you dont go the dog route,,,,, a few BEWARE OF DOG signs or a "pitbull crossing" sign will ward off the little bastards.
