Our latest installation.
1200 litre (317 gal) boiler, stainless steel with spun copper dome. 30kw electrical power for fast boil up times. 6" still with packable section for vodka production. Will also make brown spirits.

Please note they don't come off brown.. brown is after a bit of barrel or nuking time

Haven't posted much here of late.

Latest job is a 500 litre/132 gal copper top boiler Gin still.

PLC controller with options for full atomation. At this point they are just using the PLC for their basic recipes. Its very flexible and can handle custom requests. Just depends on how far you want to go.

Stainless steel boiler with copper top offers very little vapour contact with stainless, while giving a good price compromise with a full copper boiler.

This particular still was optimised for gin production, which is very popular in Australia at the moment. As with all of our stuff, it was designed to give the best results for the customers needs.

They wanted a 10" fill port and a small sight glass to see whats going on. The positioning is to their order. They optioned this one with an offset Carter head as gin is their main target product.

The first picture shows the still set up in our workshop. It does not really pour product onto the controller box,

Agree it's beautiful. One question, I put my temp gauge on the top of my boiler so I don't have to bend over for a reading. Is there a reason for putting it on the side?

Could be a retrofitted tank from the milk industry or the like? Something that would have ordinarily required liquid temp monitoring?

I could be wrong but think Empty said that was how the customer ordered it.

Right or wrong you do what the customer requests!

They wanted a thermo in the boiler, however there is a probe above the elements for temp feedback to the PLC. Its used in the warming cycle before switching to current control. There is a temp reading on the controller screen so no need to bend over, lol

@LWTCS Its a custom made to order boiler, made here. Making them ourselves lets us customise each one to the customers preference. We dont use re purposed tanks.

you have set your customers up with the right tool for the job you will only find quality like that in Australia IMO
