Re: whats your music
Been about a year since I went to see Zappa Plays Zappa, but here is a pic I took while Frank was on the screen and Dweezil was soloing along with him. They did the entire "Apostrophe" album, in order. Great stuff.
RIP Frank.
RIP Frank.

I like a little bit of everything.
You'll find a dubstep mix of Johnny Cash's "God's Gonna Cut You Down" here.

Saw George a number of years ago, and it was a very good show. Very mixed crowd of younger and older folks, lots of real people there, all rockin and enjoying themselves. A very good time.mash rookie wrote:Really? UJ You are a hard rockin dog!Uncle Jesse wrote:Here's one of my favorite mellow oldies from when I was growing up.

Re: whats your music
I saw him in a theater styled venue and it was one very memorable show. Opened the show on fire,,,,,,,switched to a different guitar after the first set and just amped it up even more as "Gear Jammer" was the opening number in the second set.
George was hollering " all right,,,,,,lets blow the roof off this mother Fu****".
Crowed when nuts and the girly wirlies were particularly note worthy. Great show

I have seen him live twice. Both really good venues. He can still rock the house. Last time (a few years ago) my son took me for my 50th birthday. There was a good mix of age groups. Anymore all the good bands play at the big casinos. Not as much fun as it used to be.

My favorite song by America's finest composer, Frank Zappa.
And yes guys, it is Zappa, so excuse the two F bombs during the intro. If you don't want to hear it, skip forward to about 1:30. The song is instrumental so you don't have to worry about it after that.
He did a lot of funny stuff, a lot of poignant stuff, a lot of irreverent stuff, and a lot of harder stuff, but this song sits well with me.
The title comes from someone in the band who once remarked "Playing a solo with this band is like trying to grow a watermelon in easter hay."
