Takes a lot of bacon and taters to ride in the conditions I’m seeing
Maybe even a little insanity as well

Mines the graphite grey color with black leather interior. It’s the most comfortable ride I’ve ever owned, bar none. I know it’s winter now but …air conditioned, massaging seats! Except it costs over $200US to fill the beast.

Actually I drive an 08’ Kia Optima as my daily commuter. It was my wife’s clunker when I met her. Still has the Betty Boop floor mats and scratches from when her ex keyed it. The doors don’t lock and the ac is busted. But the brakes are good, the tires fair. I spent the cash on some nice Snow Tires and she’s done me good all year long.
I’d have to pick up a second job if I drove that diesel 365
I hear that. I drive a 2018 Duramax 3500 Crew cab, long box daily. Today our state just raised the gas tax another 49 cents a gallon. By Wednesday when people start filing up again, I hope they realize that elections have consequences, but Im sure they wont.
Little late to the game, but here's my beast for crushing snow. Just found her last summer. 1990 v3500. Nothing like driving an old truck.

It's only snowed once here in the last 66yrs, but here is my old truck, a 7L 1988 F-250. I got it from my Dad with 11k miles on it. I passed a tree removal crew cutting down 4 giant eucalyptus trees 5mi from my house and the crew chief was happy to cut 18" rounds for me for the wood-fired oven.Bradster68 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 5:52 am

Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
Nice rig TB. I had a 67 camaro before this but 5 yrs ago moved deep in the bush in Northern Ontario. Unmaintained road and could never have got the old car down this road/trail. So I sold for a tractor and quad. I guess I'm a real redneck now. Just glad to be driving something classic.Twisted Brick wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 2:22 pmIt's only snowed once here in the last 66yrs, but here is my old truck, a 7L 1988 F-250. Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
Its still sunny and mild here, with no sign of the front moving in. Yet. I did manage to get to the transfer station and get my dump trailer emptied out.
Im expecting the fencing contractors on Tuesday, so I hope the snow goes around us, but I doubt I'll get that lucky here in the foothills.

Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
3 weeks back, we froze and had an inch or more of ice build up on the trees. The city is just getting around to clearing the mountains of broken limbs and trunks that line the roads. 2 days ago, the high was 86. Yesterday’s high was 52. I’m getting dizzy trying to figure out what to wear.

After being teased with 3-4 days of spring like weather yesterday we had 38 F and snow turning to rain. I am so ready for boating season.

Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
one year here on May long weekend (may 24th -ish) we canoed the upper north saskatchewan river for 3 days...it was hot like 24*C and we were so sun baked (and beer and rum baked) by the end of the weekend....woke up the next day to a solid meter (3feet+) of snow. it was an odd feeling walking outside with a sun weathered face and seeing that much white. Man, it just destroyed the trees.VLAGAVULVIN wrote: ↑Sat Mar 25, 2023 10:06 amBwahaha... another continent, same sh!t. Once upon a time (in 2010) we got tons of snow on the 30th of April. i've seen it snow every month of the year here. and rode motorcycle every month of the year. one thing is for sure about the weather in Alberta, if you don't like it -just wait a few minutes and it will change!

Re: %&*($#%$ SNOW!!!!
I agree!! The last couple days we've been maple sugaring, trees flowing nice, it's been great. We just had to shut it down and cover the evaporator cause we're getting 6" of snow!
Though it will make my stillin' season a bit longer, I would still rather be fishing at this point.

Yeah, they don't like it, to put it mildly... Today is +12C... our melting snow is now turning into them popple flows all around. Let's wait and see... The road to the closest city is almost over.
In Scandinavia, they say "there's no bad weather, just the wrong clothes"... let's amend it like "as well as a lack of imagination and space in a backpack".
