Well fine its almost 4 and the tails are about done so I'm cleanin up and goin to bed. Smokehouse over and out

sorry I missed you smokehouse.... I was working in the shop till about midnight. Then went right to bed.

aint much of a drinker, had a long day , did some cleaning up around the house for turkey day. started drinking at 4 pm and its 630 now bed time.......... whew.... my head is spining

Sippin some apple pie and a pull or two off a chilled bottle of Sweetfeed Whiskey. Man I like this stuff. Don't think Ill be goin back to straight corn any time soon. Runnin the third generation as we speak. Oops did I say that? Hell your all guilty of it! This Rumskeys for you Mike!

Ya'll seem to be in love with sweetfeed. Guess I'll have to try some someday. Rite now I'm sippin' some good barley I made a while back and sniffing the gas coming off a couple of batches of oats, God I love that smell!! Gristed a bnch of 2-row barley and peated barley today. Soon as the oats work off I'm goin' to start working off 100# of barley, no sugar, just grain. 80% of 2-row and 20% peated is my hands down favorite. I love the smokey flavor after its been aged in oak.

Well MK, that stuff ain't gonna be ready for several months, h***, I just started mashing my first 5 gal this morning so it won't get any yeast until tomorrow. And the way I'm thinkin' 'bout doing this I'll probably have about 15 -20 more batches to mash and run, Save it all, blend, and then I got a 5L, 2L, & a 1L barrels to age it in. Any left over will get aged in jars with oak and drunk to make sure it's good stuff. But I do have several gallons of other stuff down in the basement that will quench your thirst.

Well ya know MK the waitin' is a B**** but the reward is Great! Got a "few" bottles and barrels at various stages of agin' in the basement. Still working on my barley run, got about 3/4 gal of cuts I've blended together so far for that 5L oak I got. Weather and job pic sucks here so I'll probably be home next week stillin'. I'll have that 5L filled soon!! I'm thinkin' I'm gonna put it in at 65%-70% for maybe up to a month and then cut it to about 60% and rebarrel for another month to get some different profiles from the oak. Last barley I did had it in a 2L for 6 weeks and I really liked what I got.

Ha! Thot I was the only one had that problem !! What a cunumdrum, ya gotta sample to find out if it's ready!! I made a rule, only after 5 o'clock.......

I wouldn't drink anything at that proof. But to each their own.

I get me a little taste in my silver spoon, ya know, just ta see how things is comin' along, and at 150P I'm ready ta go take that nap. Can't tho, just fired up the still and she's fixin' ta get goin' real good. Does make the ol' lady look good, tho, too bad she's gone some'rs else.

aged on spent oak, 6th gen rum, 7-UP. de-motherf*ing-licious!

running out of it, and getting nervous. the last batch of rum that i did, i used some feints from the gross-ass grappa disaster and i can totally taste it. bummer. gonna have to start from scratch on the rum. lesson learned (again and again).

I'm drinking some rumskiy tonight and I might have a millet whiskey. I'll tell you what I was skeptical of that sweet feed but this is a damn good white dog.

...didn't' really care for the sweetfeed that i did on it's on, but it mellowed quite a bit on old barrels, then i blended it with some UJSSM, also on old oak...made a superb whiskey.

no hangover boys and headed to the gym.
i drank 4 oz's and the wife drank 2 . and we were flying high. didnt have to do alot of sweet talk to get some, and she looked like she lost weight.
i perfer this korn likker over my sweet feed .....the sweet feed is just a little sweet tasting for me. the korn likker really had no taste and no bite at 150 proof.
