In DC now, this place seems like a really nice city. We went out to dinner last night with MCH and his friend and really had a fantastic evening. It was the first time I'd ever travelled on any sort of subway or metro and the hotel HR organised for us is just great, right in the middle of all this amazing history and culture

This is exactly what I love about this forum, people are generous with their information sharing and those same people go out of their way to help when traveling. My life is richer thanks to the members here.

Had a great time meeting up with the Crows, helping them treat their jet lag.
We even had a chance to talk shop with a friend of mine over dinner and Crow was a wealth of info for my buddy's fermentation questions. Looking forward to meeting up again later this week.

Let's get this party started! Butch will have to catch up, lol.

Very cool, I knew I was delivering my new friends into good hands.
I had hoped to be up there with you guys, but as so often happens in my world I've been sucked back into work for a looming deadline.
I'll be getting things organized and worked out here in the shop this week so that I can still make it out to Butch's Saturday.
Enjoy the big city, dark beers, and safe travels.

They're having a great time! He is currently drinking a Corhusker Lager, a NYC beer, at the Heartland Brewery. He ordered it in your honor, buddy. "Wish You Were Here"

We made it through! We 'walked about' quite a bit. I think I may have worn these aussies out!

Saw a few landmarks, in addition to some of the other iconic good times like time square and subways and eating hot dogs from a street vendor.

Having a great time with the crow and his lady. Have taken them to some of the few areas of interest in my area. Reckon we solved a lot of world problems over a bottle of Bundaberg rum until the wee hours.
