Hey Mods, thanks for cleaning THAT CRAP UP FAST!

And I saw on the "who's on line" button that the dude was checking out History and Folklore.

I'm hoping the mods can ban the dude's access some how.

Understand your frustration, we mods have to deal with spam all the time, you only see a fraction of the stuff we do. I killed about 20 posts yesterday alone.

Spam is just a fact of life online. It is not possible to prevent all of it, and it won't always be possible to immediately kill the stuff that does get through (we are all volunteers here, with other things to do beside kill spam).

And yes, spam merchants get banned and deleted. But often they just keep coming back under a new name.

Just flag it and be a little patient.

We kill spam as soon as we see it (and it is here A LOT).

One thing that can help get it deleted much faster is if YOU (any user on the site) flag the post. To flag a post, simply click on the little red exclamation mark triangle button in the upper right corner (lower right corner if you use subsilver skin) and is on EVERY spam post. Thus, if there is a spam post, simply click that button, and the mods will see it sooner (it sticks out to us).

Again, we can't 'stop' the vermin from posting crap like that, without shutting out pretty much all posting of nice boozing eye candy (like wonderful all copper jobs). But we mods will work hard at getting things like that removed as soon as we see it.
