Grains in Sydney, Australia

Post by GrayGull »

I'm in Sydney and I can't find a nearby supplier of grains in 25 kg. lots. Specifically, rye, (unmalted) barley, and triticale. I would prefer the grains to be cracked or kibbled as I don't have a mill (but I guess that I shall have to buy one if necessary.) My helpful brewshop has malted cracked barley and wheat, but not these. Allied Mills supply Campbells, but not in Sydney.
No doubt the rural stock feed stores sell locally, but I'm looking for a nearby source or maybe a miller that will deliver in Sydney at a reasonable cost.
Is there a home distiller in Sydney that can advise me ... ? Any suggestions?

Try Craft Brewer in QLD
ESB in syd
or Grain and grape in melbourne.

As for grain crusher I have a monster mill and hopper and IMO its awesome some of the best money I've spent

Only place I could get a large bag of rye was through the health food store. They ordered it in. Cost a bit, but very good quality, and a nice crush too.
Be safe.
Be discreet.
And have fun.
