I finish my "distiller", but using a pressure cooker (4,5 L)and came one question. Top of pan lid have a little hole to do pressure on normal use (03 mm), for a distill whith 60% alcohol ,40 % water (absinthe) maybe it do a big pressure and cause a explosion or not?
For the correct use, do a largest (09 mm)hole than original (03 mm) or make much largest hole?? :econfused: :econfused: :econfused:

I'm not completely sure what you're asking...

Do you have a lid with a 3 mm hole and a 9mm hole? Are you asking which hole you should attach the condensor to?

Go with the larger hole (9mm) a still should not build up pressure.
be aware that not all pressure cookers will seal at low pressure ,a different seal mite be needed.

I hope your pressure cooker is made from stainless steel and not aluminum because aluminum ones have been known to fail prematurely due to pitting after only a few runs...

But some units are very well made and have completed many runs.

This unit is manufactured by Mirro (uhh the boiler, not the still head).

I learned a lot and now I am poised to move on.

Yes, not all aluminum is the same, just like other metals... Some aluminum is softer and some harder, depending on whether it is an alloy and, if so, what other components the alloy contains...

Very nice job......

My P. cooker is made in aluminiun, find made in stainless steel is very dificulty here and very expensive too.

Thanks,
I hope you have good luck with your starter unit and move on to a more capable operation.
