Materials safety is a very important issue for home distillers. Members can use this forum section to discuss any aspect of material safety that is relevant to our hobby.
This new section is for serious technical discussion only. You must use good science based evidence as your primary source of information. Any posts just making claims, without good evidence, will be deleted. Any irrelevant or uncivil comments (especially flaming) will be deleted. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
Allowing discussion of materials safety, especially for new materials, does not mean this forum recommends or even accepts the use of any particular material, or will allow them to be promoted on the rest of the forum.
The aim of this forum section is to provide the best available technical information on materials safety. However, it is ultimately the individual member's responsibility to check out the relevant information for themselves before deciding what they will use in their still. The forum cannot take final responsibility for that decision and its consequences. So please choose your still materials very carefully.
