plastic soda bottles safe for wash?

ok just another question would it be safe to ferment in soda bottles? small batch almost always means better results and so far i have found that 2ltr and 3ltr soda bottles are abundant also if i was to freeze filter a wash 4 times would the result be safe to store for short time in these bottles?
