Hear's some shinny new copper...
It works quite well, and I've tested it using 5gal beer.
It produced 750ml very drinkable whiskey..

The still looks great.
If that is an aluminum pot though, start looking for a stainless replacement. Those aluminum pots don't last long when exposed to alcohol vapor and the low Ph of the wash.

Very nice workmanship though. Should not have a problem with building a new boiler.

I bought the turkey cooker at Lowes for 100 bucks, I liked the 50,000 btu burner with temp control. I checked the parent site to see if aluminum was ok to use in distilling process and it is... however I'm going to save up and get a ss milk can soon, I'll save the al for cooking turkeys, should make a nice pot for cooking mash recipes.
thanks for the input...

I'm not going to argue over aluminum . but don't lag on finding a stanless vessel as aluminum will deteriorate

Thanks, all the copper is left overs from jobs I've done in the last year... working with copper is (or can be) an art form. It's usually used in water and refrigeration lines, heat exchangers etc... covered up for no one to see... fabricating and displaying this device has been a real pleasure... thanks to all whom have viewed this thread and posted comments, all is appreciated...

Nice looking rig but you need to reduce those images to where they are all under 100k in size... 50k - 60k would be even better... We don't need to see still porn at the molecular level...

Some folks just can't get fast internet... Has nothing to do with me, personally, as I have broadband... It's common courtesy and eases the load on Uncle Jesse's server which has been unstable recently...

Following your suggestion I shrank the images as far as possable... the original from the camera were 10mp@5mb, difficult to shrink below 100k, having dial up myself I know frustration waiting for stuff to load...

Uncle Jesse may be grateful then, if you went thru the site and informed ALL that are guilty of that fact.

I have to reduce my pics to about 16% of original to make them fit.

Quite often, if a member doesn't get pictures resized, a moderator will have to take their time to do the resizing... Reducing the burden on the moderators by making mention was my intent...
