With the caveat that some feed molasses will contain sulphur and non-fermentables that will give you trouble. I'm looking for a source too, but haven't found it locally yet. I'll let you know if I find it online, Shifty, but shipping costs could be a problem.

Here ya go, Shifty, but the shipping is gonna kill ya. $40 in the US. Hunt around at the feed stores and in the phone book. Restaurant Supply places and the like.

VG,
The store a few towns away sells a Feed Grade Molasses that contains Molasses (duh!) and Propoinic Acid (preservative). Although the label says - not for human consumption, would you think that it would still be suitable for use in a rum wash?

Kind of makes you wonder why something would be good for a cow that people are probably going to eat anyway, but not good for the people!?!?!

Any canadiands that have a bulk barn
I just talked to the manager and it was no problem to order me in a 25kg tub of unsulphured blackstap for $46 and they give a 10% discount. I think this is about as good a deal as I can get livin' in the city.
