John Stone Cactus Head, the best I can do?

Hey folks,

Column and boiler are built per John Stone design, now ready to solder still head. Are there any changes or popular mods that one could incorporate into the cactus still head? There is obviously much still head information out there, but nothing confirming whether the John Stone Cactus design is "the way to go" for a first timer? Any thoughts or links are much appreciated.
