add baking soda after strip run on WINE?

After my pot still strip run, I always add a teaspoon of baking soda per gallon before the next "keeper" run. Now that I am trying a strip run on abv 14% grape wine (to make brandy), would I also use baking soda on the "keeper" run? Thanks so much.

P.S. does "spirit run" = "keeper run"? or is "spirit run" what follows the heads and precedes the tails on the LAST run. I just figure "keeper run" was not the terminology I was supposed to use.....but got point across.

spirit run refers to the whole run that you do "for keeps". I wouldnt add any soda to a brandy run, only vodka/neutrals. soda's function is to remove flavor, when you run wiskys/brandys you want to keep flavor.
