Ok this is my first attempt at distilling. I ordered a fermentation kit from Mile Hi distillers. In it I received my bucket some yeast hydrometers and a raking tube. I dont understand how to use the racking tube. It is a long tube with bend on one end, the other end has a cap that does not totally seal up the end.
Please help. I know it is for siphoning off the wash but I am not sure how. do you just lower the end with the cap and let it rest on your grain?

Re: Racking tube
you atach the hoes on short end, stick the other in the buckit, to siphon off the wash.most has a "cap" to hould it out of the trub.
