Try Amazon. I just got a two pound pack for less than seven bucks. Even with shipping, I figure I will save about $60 by not buying the little packs at the grocery store.

I get mine from a little corner bakery, just a block down the street. Call around to bakeries and see if they sell fresh yeast, you'd be surprised at how many do. Mine costs 2.50 for a 1 LB block. Also, try costco if you have one close. They sell big jugs of yeast at a fraction of the cost of your local food mart. Good luck yeast huntin'.
