Looking to buy a top quality still. Was thinking of that Still Spirits Turbo 500. Anyone got this or any other that produce a high quality spirit.

That still costs over $600 USD. That's alot of cheese. Alot of people here will tell you to just build your own and "yes", it's a whole lot cheaper. However, some people just aren't mechanically inclined and don't want to mess with it. Personally, I would pick up one a PDA-1 column from the Amphora Society site (

I use that exact setup at the micro distillery where i work for test batches and it works great. You can make anything from vodka and gin to whiskey or rum with it. As far as the extension, I would for-go it and just pick up a 10' stick of 2" copper for $150-$200 and cut it to your specs (probably around 4-6 feet).

carlo, you can do much better... Don't get lured in by the self-proclaimed hype the manufacturer is providing... I haven't seen any "cutting edge still technology" associated with that design which is based on what is now considered "old" Cooling Managemant technology...
