Condenser help

i am building a column still, a 2" by 48" column with a 12" condenser. in the condenser ill have a 8" copper coil, is that enough to knock down the vapor? if not i was thinking about putting a jacket water around the outside of the condenser to help knock it down. I guess what i'm saying is can you knock down to much of the vapor?

is it a double coil or single coil? if it is a single you my need to use some copper pot scrubbers in the coil to help.

no you cant knock to much as you condense all that goes beyond the take off so none escapes the top.
