8 cups water
8 cups corn sugar
8 cups plain extra light malt extract
100g turbo yeast
Me and my buddy thought we would try a new project and were going in blind.
we poured the yeast in at 40c. It's now sitting in a pot with a lid on it. We're assuming
that we'll be ready to start distilling this time tmrw.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

WOW you have syrup not wash, 1 cup is enough for 4 cups/1 quart water
1 cup sugar =1/2 lb in 4 cups/1 quart water = 14%alcohol
what you mixed up will not ferment.(did not bother to figure it out but it must be close to 200%)
better do some reading, before you go any further.
(a hole bunch of reading)

Turbo yeast shouldn't need any of those additional ingredients... They may actually help extend the fermentation process... Just use up the turbo yeast according to the directions on the sachet, or only use a portion of the turbo yeast as discussed elsewhere in these forums...

git a 5 gallon bucket, add what you have, top to 4 gallon, that should give about 14% . I'm not going to figure each one separate
normally when making up a recipe most go by weight , then you finger each ingredient separate then add them together,
like X amount of malt + x amount of sugar +water for total wash of=.. each lb of sugar topped to 1 gal=7% .malt is close to that.
depending on the malt.that I go to a beer calc.for.
