Home Distiller

A few weeks ago something changed on this forum. At the top of every page is now a big empty box.

First is the dark blue box with a picture of a still, and 'Home Distiller Forums'.

Then a white strip,

Then a big light blue box. About 5 inches tall. It says: 'User Control Panel', then center justified is a column of characters spaced about 3/4 inch below each other.

A magnifying glass with a 'C',
A up arrow with a 'F',
A check mark with a 'F',
A bubble with a ? and a 'C',
and another up arrow.

Obviously I scroll down past it on each page to find the dialog.

What is this box? And it it truly necessary to be on every page?

Brass did some house keeping. Seems to be an unintended result.

Something is going wrong at your end I think mate. Or something changed and now your computer doesn't like it...
here is what should show up, and if you look at the links, yes they're pretty important, and they are there so no one can miss them (except you I guess )

The light blue box is formatted a bit larger.

Perhaps two or three times it's regular size. Everything else is as always was.

Text in the blue box seems the same as always.

Destroy your cookie for this address, clear your temporary internet files and then restart your browser. Usually fixes little stuff like that.

On the prosilver skin that most people use, there is a little 'icon' vA^ in the upper right corner of the light blue box. That controls the font sizes. You can kick them up or down. This might be what you are seeing.

I think this might be a new 'feature' added when the board was recently upgraded. I use subsilver, so I do not have that feature, but I like the 'old school' look of subsilver.

+1 on subsilver... I truly can't stand prosilver and don't visit phpBB forums that only offer prosilve nearly as often as those that offer subsilver... I just plain don't like the look and feel...
