I was looking for a name of a chinese spirit I had last year. It smelt like garbage but once you had a taste of it, it went down not to bad.
Does anyone know what it would be.

My son did china and other eastern localalities...there was one place that had a fishtank for all the dregs from beer to spirits.

A glass tapped out of the fishtank was sold real cheap for wino's and dares.

Sounds like a 70's Purple Jesus Party
As you walk through the door you pour what ever drink you brought with you into a garbage can
It turns purple most times and after a few too many of these drinks - you see......

sounds like a bar mat shooter. take the little rubber bar mats (that the drinks are made on) and at the end of the night, hold them up and let them drain into a shot glass and enjoy!
i ws only drunk enough to do it once,,, somewhere in my mid 20's. but for now, please excuse me because i just threw up in my mouth

Think it is Hawke who has family that works banquets and weddings and such.

At the end of the function, they collect all of the dregs and dump em in a big container (butts and all).

He makes vodka out of the lot.

Gotta luv it.

Ask fester, if he comes around anymore. I know he spent a bit of time in china lately. If anyone could tell you, old Fester could

China's national spirit is called Mao Tai. It's a clear spirit distilled from sorghum.

There are a number of different Chinese distilled spirits, but they can be put into two categories: baijiu and laojiu. Baijiu just refers to any clear spirit and is made from any sort of grain, most distinctively sorghum. Laojiu is just baijiu that has been aged in clay runs in a special cool moist environment. The end product is dark and gold colored. What is interesting about these spirits is that they use a dry fermenting method as opposite to our more common wet one. I'm not to keen on the exact method of how they do this, but I've seen videos and its quite unique.
