A bit small and short possibly, reducing the diameter of your vapour path increases the vapour speed. With a condenser that small the vapour might be rushing through it before it can get cooled.

A lot depends on how much vapour you are producing and your boiler heat input. If you are producing product real slow it might work. It never hurts to over engineer your condenser.

Wont this be ok as he is not condensing "vapour" because it has already been condensed??
My thinking was it would be used as a product "cooler"?

I dont use anything on my Bok. I made a small graham to use but found I really did not need it. The product is a little warm.

I would say it would come down to personal preferance? As KS said, he doesnt use anything.
Just bare in mind hot procuct will not give accurate reading's for ABV.

your are correct but it is not off by much. When I check mine after the likker has cooled it is still very close normally within 3% ABV

Thats funny.I just built one for the 1.5 inch unit I use. its 1/4 inch feed through a 3/4 inch pipe and its about six inches long. I only need it to drop the temps a little lower. Maybe 10F. Should work well. Pics?

I should clarify. I run a parrot when my still is running and say I am reading 97-98%ABV after the likker is at calibrated temp it will then be 95%ABV. so yes it is personal preference. for me that was accpetable. I always recheck when I proof my likker. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Just like Kentucky Shinner, I dont use anything coming from the Bok, I do take the temp of the product in the parrot and adjust accordingly... :D

I use a 1/4" inside 3/4" liebig as a product condenser for my LM column... It drops the spirit temperature down to alcometer calibration...
