Heating element gasket

I'm trying to find discussions on gasket material for heating elements and not having much luck.



Is that because most use external heating or is it because the wash is relatively low %ABV and not exposed to ethanol vapour?


Kind of hoping on the latter as I've just cut a 30mm hole in my stock pot with plans to use a 2200W heating element and surrounds from a kettle. :oops:
2" 1.5M Old Dog copper VM with SS 1/2" ball valve and 50L keg with 2200W element + triac controller

My old CM "neutral" was like the Leningrad T-34. Rough, unrefined and often rolled straight off the production line and into battle...
