I feel like I won the Lottery

As a few of you know I'm building a flute, so I rang the local hardware store this morning about some 3/8 tube I need for the Graham condenser I am going to build for this rig, they quoted me $6 a meter so I got there in about 5 minutes with $12 cash.
There was a half roll of about 12 meters and a full roll sitting on the floor in a dark shady corner of the back shed, so I asked about the half roll and got a price of $4.45 per meter....hmmmmm brain starts going..... bargain!
I then asked about the full roll they had and was told it was a 15 meter roll and that I could have it for $2 a meter if I wanted to buy that much, hmmmmmm ok I thought, yeh alright I'll take the lot for $2 a meter if you want to get rid of it, I had at least 12 meters in my hand and the other roll was brand new in it's pkt and twice the size and weight (it was a 30m roll), and, he said oh look mate there's only 25 meters of it there and you can have it for $50.....
Before you could say "moonshine" I swiped my credit card and left with about 45 meters of brand new 3/8 tube for $50
Do I feel guilty?
Not fucken likely
Cheers.

No I'm not over there but the mrs is, she's one of those jet setters that flys all over the country doing fuck all while pretending to work for a major valve supply company
My build is going to be a slow process tho unfortunately, just found out last week I have some health issues and am in the process of getting all that sorted, as well as moving into our new property up the road next week.
Back to see the quack tomorrow for a cat scan, some kind of dye injection and some more blood tests, prolly piss in a jar or two as well, spent a few hours at pathology this morning getting poked n proded in every orifice and am getting a little cranky with it all.
Fasting now for the next 12 hours before my scan, well at least vodka looks like water
Cheers.

I'd rather get a splinter taken out of my foot than what I'm going through lately, and the nurse today was about 80 I reckon and rough as fuck.
Just gotta wait for a week now to find out what's wrong with me, I'm glad I got a shit load of packing to do and moving house to keep my mind busy, but pissing and shitting blood keeps reminding me even though I feel fine.
Time for a rum or 8 for me

Well, Austin Nichols, not to harp but if I was passing blood, from any orifice, you can bet I would be steering clear of the booze until I knew what was causing it... Life is too short as it is, so unless you have a death wish you should be taking every precaution possible to get yourself back to good health... Just feeling healthy isn't good enough... A majority of deaths are caused by silent killers...
I just went through my own health crisis recently and discovered that I am diabetic... I went for quite a while without even sampling my own hooch... Now I have to limit my alcohol intake, as well as everything else...
We had an older friend who died of esophageal cancer that wouldn't stop smoking even though he could barely breathe, giving the excuse that the damage was already done... We got to the point where we just couldn't feel sorry for him anymore and with him becoming more and more ornery we lost contact and never did hear about his death even though he must have passed away several years ago... Chances are good that he requested no obituary so we'll probably never know when he passed...
Good luck and stay as healthy as you can...
