Printing/Downloading

Is there a way to change how many posts appear on a page? I ask b/c I would like to print some of the longer topics to read in their entirety when I leave the country on longer trips. I have seen this possibility at homebrewtalk.com--you can view a topic in Print View and show 320 posts per page.
This would allow me to save a few pages as PDFs and/or print the files easier. Not sure if anyone else would be interested and thought this might be a function of the site manager since it wasn't user selectable (at least as far as I know).
Moderators/Management please PM me if you decide to move this topic to a better suited place.

I believe in phpbb it is a global setting. It has been kept on the lower end, but usable end. The reasons for, is that we have lots of posts with pics. If you set the limit too high, you waste a ton of bandwidth downloading topics that people have read before, again and again and again. It slows the site down. If there was a way for a user to change it within the UCP (user control panel), I have not found it. If someone can give some insite, then pipe up.

Nope... Only the global post count setting, which seems fine now as it helps reduce the wear and tear on Uncle Jesse's server and helps reduce bandwidth, as Husker mentioned...
I write my own code that does custom screen scrapes when I need to, but haven't done so for these forums... But even if I did the code would run on my own development servers, not on a stand-alone PC...
The best advice I can give is to open your favorite word processor, or Notepad, and use Copy & Paste to build your own journal of notes... The toughest part of that would be getting images because Copy & Paste won't link the images...

i understand the bandwidth allocation issue. The way Homebrewtalk does it (without the paid subscription) is you are allowed to view 320 posts/page only in print view (In print view, only text is available, no pics). By not allowing pictures and only text, 320 posts per page loads pretty quick due to the lack size of text data. If this option is available, that'd be nice. I don't expect a server/provider to give me access to Megs of pics on a whim, and the only reason i want to download the longer threads is to read the responses. I can wait on the pictures, seein' hows i got a vivid imagination--'specially when it comes to the drip.
I ain't beggin' or even askin', just want to learn explore all my options here...btw, thank you UJ, and all moderators. If this site went down, it'd be the only thing i ask for this Christmas. Until then, God Bless the soldiers for freedom and the internet for knowledge collaboration!

Homebrewtalk runs on vBulletin which has different features than the phpBB software that these forums run on have...
EDIT:
I did, however, find this
Printer-friendly topic mod... That one if for older releases... Might be one for phpBB 3.x though... But it's not a standard feature from what I've found...
EDIT:
Perhaps
this one...
